About the role

Affix Scaffolding Europe Oy is a newly established Finnish business preparing to launch its operations in Hyvinkää for the import, sales, rental, storage and logistics of professional scaffolding systems and related equipment.

Our Finnish operations are currently being established and are expected to commence by the end of 2026 at the latest.

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to take a key role in building Affix's commercial presence in Finland and supporting further growth in selected European markets.

This is a newly created role in a new business operation, offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to shape the company's sales approach, customer acquisition processes, CRM setup and go-to-market activities from an early stage.

The successful candidate will be expected to actively develop new business, establish customer relationships, build and manage a sales pipeline, negotiate commercial terms and, most importantly, successfully close sales and rental agreements.

Main responsibilities

Identifying and developing new B2B customers and business opportunities.

Building relationships with construction companies, scaffolding contractors, industrial companies, equipment-rental businesses and other relevant customers.

Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting and first contact through meetings, quotations, negotiations and deal closing.

Developing and maintaining a structured sales pipeline and sales forecast.

Preparing commercial offers and actively following opportunities through to a decision.

Understanding customer requirements and proposing suitable scaffolding systems, equipment and commercial solutions.

Developing long-term customer relationships and identifying repeat-sales and cross-selling opportunities.

Supporting the company's market-entry and growth strategy in Finland and selected European markets.

Monitoring market developments, competitors, pricing and commercial opportunities.

Participating in customer visits, trade events and other relevant sales activities.

Coordinating with Affix's international manufacturing, sourcing, technical, operational and back-office teams.

Helping establish scalable sales, CRM and growth-management processes for the Finnish business.

Required experience and skills

Applicants should have:

Proven B2B sales and business-development experience.

Demonstrated experience in negotiating and successfully closing commercial deals.

Relevant sales experience in scaffolding, construction equipment, industrial products, building materials, equipment rental or another comparable B2B sector.

Ability to independently develop new customer relationships and manage the complete sales process.

Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Experience using leading CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Pipedrive or comparable systems.

Experience using modern sales, prospecting, pipeline-management or growth tools to support lead generation, customer development and sales performance.

Ability to establish structured CRM practices, maintain high-quality pipeline data and use sales information for forecasting and decision-making.

Good understanding of quotations, pricing, commercial terms and customer account development.

Professional-level Finnish and English communication skills.

Ability and willingness to travel for customer meetings when required.

A proactive, target-oriented and highly independent approach to work.

Language skills

As Affix is developing an international European business, applicants should preferably speak at least one additional European language in addition to Finnish and English.

German or French is particularly valued. Other relevant European language skills are also considered an advantage.

Considered an advantage

Existing network within the Finnish construction, scaffolding, industrial or equipment-rental sectors.

Experience selling or renting scaffolding systems or related construction equipment.

Knowledge of Ringlock, Cuplock or other modular scaffolding systems.

Experience launching or developing a new market, business unit or customer portfolio.

Experience building sales processes and CRM structures for a new or rapidly growing business.

International B2B sales experience.

Experience in outbound sales, account-based sales, lead-generation platforms or other modern growth-management approaches.

Experience working with manufacturing, sourcing and back-office teams located outside Finland.

Experience in Nordic, German-speaking or French-speaking markets.

The successful candidate will have significant influence over customer acquisition, sales processes, CRM practices, commercial strategy and future growth.

The form of cooperation and compensation package can be negotiated according to the candidate's experience, track record and preferred level of responsibility. Possible arrangements may include:

full-time employment with a fixed salary;

fixed salary plus performance-based commission or bonus;

another performance-oriented employment structure; or

for a particularly suitable and experienced candidate, a broader business-partner-style role may also be discussed.

The final arrangement will be agreed mutually based on the candidate's background and the needs of the business.
