CNC TURNER / SWISS-TYPE CNC MACHINIST – VALTIMO COMPONENTS OYJ

Valtimo Components Oyj is looking for a skilled CNC Turner / Swiss-Type CNC Machinist to join our team in Valtimo, Finland, in a permanent position.

We are growing and investing strongly in our production capabilities. Our latest investment is a Citizen Cincom Series 3 L20-XII LFV Swiss-type CNC lathe, which strengthens our turning capacity and opens up new opportunities for manufacturing demanding, high-precision components.

We are looking for a machinist who wants to take responsibility for their own work, develop their skills, and work with modern CNC technology.

What does the job involve?

Depending on your skills and experience, your responsibilities will include:

• CNC turning and/or Swiss-type CNC machining

• machine setup and tooling

• creating and modifying CNC programs

• measuring finished components and ensuring product quality

• developing machining processes and production together with the rest of our team

We especially value experience in CNC turning, Citizen Swiss-type CNC lathes, Fanuc controls, or similar machines and control systems.

However, you do not need to know everything from day one.

If you have solid basic machining skills and the motivation to develop into a skilled Swiss-type CNC machining professional, we can provide training for the role.

To be considered for the position, we require:

• a vocational qualification in machining, mechanical engineering, metalwork, or a related technical field, or ongoing studies toward a relevant qualification

• basic knowledge and understanding of CNC machining

• a careful and quality-focused approach to work

• willingness to learn, develop your skills, and take responsibility for your own work

• Applicants must have a valid right to work in Finland. Depending on the assigned duties, the position may be subject to a security clearance.

Previous experience in CNC turning, Swiss-type CNC machining, Citizen machines, Fanuc controls, machine setup, or CNC programming is considered an advantage.

Salary

Your salary will be determined based on your experience and skills.

Indicative salary range: approximately €15–22/hour + shift allowances and other applicable supplements.

For experienced and versatile CNC professionals, the final salary will be agreed based on your level of expertise.
