Data Automation Specialist (Alteryx) for the banking sector, Helsinki

About the role

In this role, you will play a key part in end-to-end reporting processes, data handling, and process automation by leveraging Alteryx and SQL to build and optimize efficient data workflows. Bridging the gap between financial/risk data and regulatory reporting standards, you will collaborate across functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and high-quality outputs that directly support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Work tasks

This role is focused on leveraging Alteryx, SQL, and Excel to automate data workflows and improve reporting efficiency.

• Reporting & Data Automation: Design, maintain, and automate end-to-end data workflows and reporting systems for ESG and Pillar 3 requirements.
• Data Management: Process, clean, and analyze complex datasets from multiple sources ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine reporting workflows and adopt a flexible approach to changing regulatory environments and system updates.
• Cross-Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Communicate reporting outputs, process changes, and analytical insights effectively to internal and external stakeholders while collaborating across the organization to align disclosures with requirements.

We are looking for

• 2+ years of professional experience in data handling, reporting, and process automation
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of SQL
• Good / advanced expertise in Alteryx for workflow automation
• Fluency in English with strong cross-team collaboration skills
• A flexible approach and adaptability towards business and process changes

It is meritorious if you have

• Skills with Python
• Understanding of banks' balance sheet structures
• Experience with ESG reporting or knowledge of ESG concepts
• Experience in reporting system development and end-to-end process handling
