Early Years Teacher

We are looking for a motivated, creative and caring Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our English-speaking private daycare.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and developing the groups pedagogical activities in collaboration with the rest of the team.

Creative Learning Playschools pedagogy is based on childrens participation, creativity, play and experiential learning. You will ensure that these principles are reflected in daily activities, learning environments and staff practices. Activities are planned around the childrens interests, observations and individual needs. Learning is supported through play, exploration, movement, art, music and meaningful everyday experiences.

Your responsibilities include,

Supporting each childs individual growth, learning, development and well-being

Creating a safe, encouraging and inclusive learning environment

Planning and implementing purposeful, varied and child-centred activities

Preparing, reviewing and evaluating childrens individual early childhood education plans

Observing and documenting childrens learning and using these observations to develop the groups activities

Guiding the teams pedagogical work and ensuring that agreed practices are followed

Integrating Creative Learning Playschools values and pedagogical approach into everyday routines

Encouraging the team to develop creative practices and view learning from the childs perspective

Working closely and respectfully with families, colleagues and other professionals

Participating in team meetings and the evaluation and development of the daycares overall operations

Applicants should have the appropriate qualification to work as an Early Childhood Education Teacher in Finland or be nearing completion of their studies. We value initiative, flexibility, creativity, sensitivity and strong communication and teamwork skills.

As we operate in an English-speaking environment, a good command of English is required.
