Valtimo Components Oyj is looking for a skilled CNC Miller / CNC Machinist to join our team in Valtimo, Finland, in a permanent position.

We are growing and continuously developing our production capabilities. We are now looking for a CNC milling professional to strengthen our machining team.

We manufacture demanding, high-precision components for Finnish and international high-tech customers in industries including defence, medical technology, electronics, and other technically demanding sectors.

What does the job involve?

Depending on your skills and experience, your responsibilities will include:

• CNC milling

• machine setup

• tool selection and tool management

• creating and modifying CNC programs

• measuring finished components and ensuring product quality

• developing machining methods and manufacturing processes

We operate a modern range of CNC machinery, including Makino and Quaser machining centres.

We also use Mastercam for CNC programming.

We value previous experience in CNC milling, programming, machine setup, and the ability to work independently.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone with solid basic machining skills, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn and develop professionally.

What do we require from you?

To be considered for the position, we require:

• a vocational qualification in machining, mechanical engineering, metalwork, or another relevant technical field, or ongoing studies toward a relevant qualification

• a basic understanding of CNC machining

• a careful, precise, and quality-focused approach to your work

• a willingness to learn, develop your skills, and take responsibility for your own work

• a valid right to work in Finland

Depending on the assigned duties, the position may require the successful completion of a security clearance.

Previous experience in CNC milling, Mastercam programming, CNC programming, machine setup, Fanuc or similar control systems is considered an advantage.

However, you do not need to know everything from day one. We are also interested in motivated students and recent graduates who have a solid foundation in machining and a strong desire to develop into skilled CNC machining professionals.

Salary

Your salary will be determined based on your experience and level of expertise.

Indicative salary range: approximately €15–22/hour + shift allowances and other applicable supplements.

For experienced CNC millers who can independently set up machines and create CNC programs, the final salary will be agreed based on skills and experience.
